Why do Western Nations Favours Pakistan?
Pakistan is the global champion of exporting terror, yet most Western nations have a weakness for Pakistan. Most Indians are unaware of this Western nations’ love affair with Pakistan’s secret. It’s extremely easy.
1. First – Western nations self-interest involved
Pakistan operates US-manufactured F-16s and the US does not want India to beat and humiliate the PAF.
- The longer the war continues, the more exposed the Pakistani military’s weaknesses will become.
- Losses are a part of war and if the war continues for 2 weeks, half of the PAF F-16 fleet will be lost.
- This would put an end to F-16 market and close down Lockheed in Greenville, South Carolina.
For reference, observe how India’s dramatic utilization of the S-400 has boosted its demand.

While the sales of the HQ-9, the Chinese version of the outdated S-300 missile defense system, will fall after their dismal performance against India.
The US is aware that if the Indian Air Force down the F-16, thousands of good-paying American jobs will be lost. This is definitely not the result the US desires.
2. Second – Pakistan serves Western countries interests
The second reason is that Pakistan is Britain’s illegitimate child that was given to the US as a check on Russian encroachment.
Like a misbehaving child that its parents put up with, Pakistan is put up with by the West because it serves their interests.
- Pakistan is no longer as convenient as it once was during the Soviet era, but the old game between its generals and the West has not entirely stopped.
The West is aware that Punjabi Muslims and Mohajirs, above all, can always be counted on to pillage their nation for a little more money.
3. Third Pak is loved by the West is elementary human nature
The third explanation of why Pak is loved by the West is elementary human nature – individuals love the people who increase their ego.
- If you are an office employee, you can tell that bosses love to have around yesmen and toadies instead of industrious, efficient and straightforward workers who silently fulfill their work.
- Pakistan possesses such a bothersome toady who can be found in any office.
4. Pakistani leaders is known for flattery
When Westerners encounter Indian and Pakistani leaders, they have reverse experiences.
In India, they must confront people who mostly serve in the national interest.
In India, a Pentagon or State Department official receives the protocol owed to him, nothing extra.
- If the foreign minister is visiting, he will be met at the airport by a high-ranking diplomat.
- If a 4-star Pentagon official comes to Delhi’s Palam airport, he will be met by a Brigadier General.
But when these same Western officials come to Pakistan, the Pakistanis surprise them with a majestic welcome (literally), bombarding them with lavish pomp and show, lavishing them with lavish pomp and show as if they were deities.
Even a humble Captain of the US Army would be greeted by the Karachi Corps Commander.
None other than Pakistan Army Chief and subsequent dictator Ayub Khan set the benchmark for highest flattery of Pakistanis.
Providing to become America’s Cold War ally against Russia in the 1950s, Khan had informed American generals: “The Pakistani Army is your Army.” Who wouldn’t appreciate such sweet-talking behavior?
5. Pakistan is slave for Western Countries since 1950s
Unlike the Hindus who can be categorized as rightists, leftists, centrists, urban Naxalites and those avoiding politics, the Westerner at large has a very good shatrubodh (awareness about the enemy). They might or might not be interested in foreign matters, but they definitely know that Pakistan is their slave since the 1950s. And at least the slave is worth some support.
Due to their increased sense of shatrubodh, the typical Westerner is continuously sensitive to endangerments to its supremacy.
Not like the Pakistanis who just need a little over a billion dollars in relief and some hardware, the proud Indians dream about superpower ambitions. This keeps India on an inevitable collision with the West. Westerners resent India’s resurgence.
6. Pakistanis are not an immediate threat
Another large factor in how Indians and Pakistanis are perceived in the West is the disparity in their diaspora community. Pakistanis are not an immediate threat, whereas Indians are envied or detested due to their success. Recall the H1B hate a couple of months ago?
The typical Pakistani in the West is either a butcher, courier van driver, car yard salesman, welfare cheat or Islamic fundamentalist who seeks to destroy the West through jihad.
By contrast, 90% of Indian immigrants hold white collar occupations – either a techie, academic, doctor, Wall Street broker or scientist.
A successful diaspora group is always a target for envy and contempt. Indians are the new Jews.
7. Standing with Pakistan is an automatic reflex for the West
All branches of Western governments are coordinated with one another in rescuing Pakistan. They will always attempt to pre-empt India from knocking out and balkanizing Pakistan. We have witnessed in 1971, 1999 and now in 2025 how the US political leadership intervened and halted the war when Pakistan was being clobbered.
In 2011, when ISI spy Ghulam Nabi Fai was arrested by the FBI for promoting terror, the American judge while sentencing him, indulgently remarked that he would like to hear more about Pakistan and Islam.
- Likewise, in a war between India and Pakistan, the whole range of the Western media will regurgitate the Pakistani narrative.
Standing with Pakistan is an automatic reflex for the West. It’s free and it’s their easy zone. It’s in contrast to standing with India, where it’s supporting a future superpower that would dethrone the West. It’s just that simple.
Thus, this is India’s dualism. It’s a part of the world economy, and has strategic relationships with the West. But while taking on Pakistan, India will have to battle it alone. The plus point is that India’s political and military leadership no longer requires – or cares about – international backing.
