Pakistan is the global champion of exporting terror, yet most Western nations have a weakness for Pakistan. Most Indians are unaware of this Western nations’ love affair with Pakistan’s secret. It’s extremely easy.

Not like the Pakistanis who just need a little over a billion dollars in relief and some hardware, the proud Indians dream about superpower ambitions. This keeps India on an inevitable collision with the West. Westerners resent India’s resurgence.
6. Pakistanis are not an immediate threat
Another large factor in how Indians and Pakistanis are perceived in the West is the disparity in their diaspora community. Pakistanis are not an immediate threat, whereas Indians are envied or detested due to their success. Recall the H1B hate a couple of months ago?
The typical Pakistani in the West is either a butcher, courier van driver, car yard salesman, welfare cheat or Islamic fundamentalist who seeks to destroy the West through jihad.
By contrast, 90% of Indian immigrants hold white collar occupations – either a techie, academic, doctor, Wall Street broker or scientist.
A successful diaspora group is always a target for envy and contempt. Indians are the new Jews.
7. Standing with Pakistan is an automatic reflex for the West
All branches of Western governments are coordinated with one another in rescuing Pakistan. They will always attempt to pre-empt India from knocking out and balkanizing Pakistan. We have witnessed in 1971, 1999 and now in 2025 how the US political leadership intervened and halted the war when Pakistan was being clobbered.
In 2011, when ISI spy Ghulam Nabi Fai was arrested by the FBI for promoting terror, the American judge while sentencing him, indulgently remarked that he would like to hear more about Pakistan and Islam.
- Likewise, in a war between India and Pakistan, the whole range of the Western media will regurgitate the Pakistani narrative.
Standing with Pakistan is an automatic reflex for the West. It’s free and it’s their easy zone. It’s in contrast to standing with India, where it’s supporting a future superpower that would dethrone the West. It’s just that simple.
Thus, this is India’s dualism. It’s a part of the world economy, and has strategic relationships with the West. But while taking on Pakistan, India will have to battle it alone. The plus point is that India’s political and military leadership no longer requires – or cares about – international backing.
