Elvish Yadav Arrested in Snake venom case, Now Admitted to the Crime
Elvish Yadav, a 26-year-old YouTuber, was arrested by Noida Police on March 17 and has been placed in judicial custody for 14 days in connection with the snake venom case. It’s reported that he has now confessed to the crime.
The FIR was lodged under the provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and for criminal conspiracy under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Elvish Yadav has admitted to having contact with individuals arrested in November 2023 and being familiar with them. The other accused individuals are Rahul (32), Teetunath (45), Jaikaran (50), Narayan (50), and Ravinath (45), all residents of Moharband village in southeast Delhi’s Badarpur.
Additional charges against Elvish and five others
Additional charges against Elvish and five others include:
- Section 284 (negligent conduct related to poison endangering human safety) and
- Section 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animals), according to the Noida Police.
Charges under Section 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act were also levied in the case.

Elvish Yadav provided snake venom at a Noida party
Elvish Yadav was alleged to have supplied rare snakes and snake venom at various parties, reportedly including one held in Sector 51 of Noida.
In November last year, specifically on November 3rd, he facilitated the procurement of snake venom at a banquet hall located in Sector 51 of Noida. This was confirmed by forensic teams.
- During that incident, Elvish Yadav and six others were accused under the Wildlife Protection Act and Section 129(A) of the IPC. Despite being questioned earlier, Elvish was not detained at that time.
The police seized snake venom
On 3rd November, police rescued nine snakes, including five cobras, from the accused. Investigation revealed all snakes lacked venom glands.
- Additionally, 20 milliliters of snake venom were recovered. Elvish denied the allegations, claiming they were baseless and false.
Sting Operation on Cobra venom
The NGO People for Animals, led by Maneka Gandhi, filed a complaint against Yadav and five others for allegedly supplying snake venom at a party in Noida.
- They carried out a sting operation, during which they requested Elvish Yadav to arrange a rave party and procure Cobra venom.
