Yuvraj Singh Appointed Ambassador for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024

Yuvraj Singh, the Indian cricket legend, has been chosen as an ambassador for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. As an ambassador, he will participate in promotional events, including the India-Pakistan match in New York on June 9.

With this, Yuvraj Singh joins Chris Gayle and Usain Bolt as ambassadors for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

Acknowledging Yuvraj’s iconic achievement of hitting six sixes in an over during the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007, his appointment holds special significance.

On September 19, 2007, cricket witnessed an unforgettable moment as Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh showcased his remarkable power by hitting six successive sixes off Stuart Broad during the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa.

  • Yuvraj achieved his half-century in a mere 12 balls, establishing a record for the fastest fifty in any format of the game.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will feature 55 matches across nine venues, with the opening game between USA and Canada in Texas on June 1 and the final in Barbados on June 29.
