The World Economic Forum (WEF) was initiated by German professor Klaus Schwab.

In 1971, he founded the WEF, originally known as the European Management Forum.

Klaus Schwab introduced the concept of “stakeholder capitalism,” which advocates for companies to prioritize long-term value creation by considering the needs of all stakeholders and society at large, not just optimizing short-term profits for shareholders.
