Sunrisers Hyderabad’s score of 287/3 against RCB is now the highest ever total in IPL history. Here are the top 5 scores as SRH surpass their previous record

Sunrisers Hyderabad surpassed their previous record and set a new milestone by achieving the highest total in Indian Premier League history on April 15 in their match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Having scored 277/3 against MI earlier this season, SRH exceeded that mark by scoring 287/3 on April 15 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

The SRH batsmen were in top form, punishing the RCB bowlers all over the ground. Faf du Plessis’ decision to bowl first quickly backfired on them.

Here is a list of the highest totals in IPL history:

1. Sunrisers Hyderabad – 287/3 vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru, 2024
2. Sunrisers Hyderabad – 277/3 vs Mumbai Indians, 2024
3. Kolkata Knight Riders – 272/7 vs Delhi Capitals, 2024
4. Royal Challengers Bengaluru – 263/5 vs Pune Warriors India, 2013
5. Lucknow Super Giants – 257/5 vs Punjab Kings, 2023

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Dominance:

Travis Head’s exceptional form for Sunrisers Hyderabad has been a highlight of the 17th season of the IPL. With three wins and two losses, Sunrisers have been maintaining their momentum, largely due to Head’s impactful performances.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Struggles:

Conversely, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been finding it difficult to establish themselves this season. With five losses in six matches, they find themselves at the bottom of the points table, making Travis Head’s outstanding performance even more detrimental to their campaign.

Key Partnerships that Made a Difference:

Head’s century was the result of some crucial partnerships. He had a 108-run opening partnership with Abhishek Sharma and a 57-run collaboration with Heinrich Klaasen, who is currently regarded as one of the most formidable T20 batsmen.
