Veer Bal Diwas, or Bravery Day, is observed in remembrance of the sacrifice made by the young sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Sikh Guru.

Sahibzada Baba Jorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji were only 9 and 7 years old, respectively, when they laid down their lives for their faith. Both Sahibzades were captured by the Mughal army during a battle on the banks of the Sarsa River. They were reportedly buried alive at the age of 8 and 5 respectively for not converting to Islam.

In essence, Veer Bal Diwas is a day of remembrance, reflection, and inspiration, encouraging people to draw strength from the stories of the young martyrs and to foster a spirit of resilience and commitment to their principles.
