CBSE Result 2025: Relative Grading’ system
Starting from the 2024–25 academic session, CBSE has implemented a new ‘Relative Grading’ system.
- Unlike the earlier fixed grading system, this method evaluates students based on their performance relative to others.
- This change aims to reduce academic pressure and unhealthy competition. As a result, grade cutoffs may differ by subject, depending on overall performance trends.
In total, over 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams held between February 15 and April 4, 2025. The Class 10 exams ended on March 18, while the Class 12 exams concluded on April 4.
