1. Verstappen set to win Spanish Grand Prix 2024

  • Starting from pole position, Verstappen maintained his lead throughout the race, showcasing exceptional skill and control.

2. Indian contingent clinches 11 medals at U-17 Asian Wrestling Championships in Amman

  • The Indian contingent excelled at the Under-17 Asian Wrestling Championships in Amman, securing a total of 11 medals, including four golds.
  • The gold medalists included talented wrestlers Aman Sehrawat, Deepak Chahal, Sajan Bhanwal, and Priya Malik, who demonstrated outstanding skill and determination. The team also earned three silver and four bronze medals.

 

3. BCCI announced India Squad for Zimbabwe Tour

  • The BCCI has revealed India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.

4. 113 Countries have never had female heads of state or govt: UN Women Global Data

  • According to UN Women’s global data, a staggering 113 countries worldwide have never had a woman serve as head of state or government.
  • As of today, only 26 countries are led by women. Despite progress, women remain largely excluded from positions of power and diplomacy, with men predominantly occupying influential decision-making roles.
  • The International Day for Women in Diplomacy on 24 June highlights the need for women’s equal participation in governance and leadership.

8. Union Minister JP Nadda appointed as Leader of House in Rajya Sabha

9. Newly elected members of 18th Lok Sabha take oath
