Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025

 

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level examination conducted annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for undergraduate (UG) admissions to central universities under the Ministry of Education, as well as other participating universities, institutions, and autonomous colleges. CUET is a mandatory requirement for students seeking admission to these institutions.

For 2025, CUET is tentatively scheduled from May 8 to June 1, 2025 and will be conducted in approximately 13 languages across 380 cities, including 26 locations outside India.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Pattern

 

The exam pattern for CUET 2025 is yet to be updated by NTA. The details below are based on the previous year’s format:

  • Correct Answer: +5 marks
  • Incorrect Answer: -1 mark
  • Unanswered Question: No marks
  • Multiple Correct Answers: Candidates receive +5 marks for marking any correct option
  • All Options Correct/Dropped Question: All candidates attempting the question receive +5 marks

CUET UG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

 

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by NTA before applying:

  • Students who have completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
  • Class 12 students yet to appear for their board exams can also register.
  • Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • There is no age limit, but universities may have specific age criteria for different programs.

The CUET UG 2025 application process is entirely online.

  • CUET UG 2025 registration starts from March 01, and it will end on March 22, 2025.

Steps to Register:

  1. Sign Up: Provide personal details such as name, date of birth, email, and phone number, then verify them.
  2. Fill Application Form: Log in with the application number and password.
  3. Upload Documents: Attach a scanned photograph, signature, and other required documents.
  4. Pay Fee: Complete the payment through debit/credit card, net banking, Paytm, or UPI.

  • Language Subjects: Reading comprehension, vocabulary, and literary aptitude

  • General Test: General knowledge, current affairs, mental ability, numerical ability, logical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude
