Key Changes in CUET UG 2025

 

1. Flexible Subject Selection

 

Candidates can now opt for any subject in CUET UG 2025, irrespective of the subjects studied in their Class 12 curriculum. This provides greater flexibility for students to explore diverse academic disciplines.

2. Limited Subject Choices

 

The number of subjects available for selection in CUET UG 2025 has been reduced from 63 to 37. Some of the removed subjects include:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Teaching Aptitude
  • Fashion Studies
  • Tourism
  • Legal Studies
  • Engineering Graphics

Admissions for the discontinued subjects will now be based on the General Aptitude Test scores.

3. Revised Subject Selection Limit

 

Candidates can now choose up to five subjects for CUET UG 2025. This change allows students to focus on a more streamlined selection of subjects.

4. Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode

 

CUET UG 2025 will be conducted exclusively in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. This ensures a standardized examination process across all centers.

5. Uniform Exam Duration

 

Each subject examination will have a fixed duration of 60 minutes, ensuring consistency in test duration across all subjects.

6. No More Optional Questions

 

Unlike previous years, CUET UG 2025 will not have optional questions. Candidates must attempt all the questions provided in their respective subject papers.

7. The General Test is changed into General Aptitude Test.

Language Subjects in CUET UG 2025

 

For the 13 primary languages

  • (English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu), language-specific exams will be conducted in the same format as CUET-UG 2024.
  • However, for the remaining languages, including foreign languages (20 as per CUET-UG 2024), admissions will be based on performance in the General Aptitude Test.
